How do you successfully mentor someone?

It’s both easier and more difficult than you think. It’s easy when you learn to set standards and expectations from your end and relay them to the potential mentee. It becomes difficult when you leave the interaction to chance. I’ll share some helpful ideas in this weeks podcast

How do you get mentored yourself?

In the same way you would mentor someone else with a different twist. Ask the mentor what standards and expectations they have and then follow them. I can tell you that many mentors don’t set an expectation with their mentee so right off the bat, they will appreciate your business like approach.

Check out this weeks podcast for some insights and tips.

Here is your Practice Gym podcast episode, How to Be An Effective Mentor and Mentee

Go check out one of my mentors Bob Burg and consider reading his best selling book, “The Go-Giver”  Here is Bob’s site http://thegogiver.com/

Are you ready to train? Two things to get you started:

1) Here is your Practice Gym Podcast Episode 017. It is less than 14 mins and will give you a sense of how a podcast looks, sounds and feels. In April, you will be able to automatically download each weekly episode via ITunes for Apple devices and Stitcher and or Google Play for Android devices. I listen to several hours of podcasts each week and I’m guessing you will as well.

2) Remember that this whole process is rooted in constant improvement and or practice. Things will not work and or need to be changed so let me know what is working and what is not.

Have a great day and we’ll see you next week:))
