Go here to watch the video,Resiliency

Resiliency is one of your primary, “make or break,” skills.

It’s not always going to be easy on your road to success and you need to know how to practice resiliency if you plan on staying in the game and not being forced to check out and sent home.

What is resiliency?

Webster’s says, “the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties; toughness.” and “the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity.”

When will I need to practice Resiliency?

When you encounter the inevitable, “Game of Life” or everyday living. If you are breathing then you are alive and if you are alive, you will be challenged in life. Knowing how to prepare and more importantly react to challenges will be beneficial.

Where will I encounter the need to practice Resiliency?

Personally it will show up in your finances, your health and your relationships or what I call the “Primary Three.” It will also show up in your professional life as you deal with people, systems and company culture.

How do you start to build the skill of Resiliency?

Always start with becoming aware of what works and what needs improvement. Write / type up the times when you are / have been resilient. You need something to reflect on for context. Next write / type up the times where you have been less than resilient. The last one is tougher, yet that is where the juice of the fruit lies.

What do I do next?

Put this into your weekly / daily routine and get help from a coach, manager, trusted friend, etc. You might even build a model of accountability so that you can be on the track for improvement. It’s not always easy yet it is always beneficial when you instill and then practice becoming more resilient.

Have a great day and we’ll see you next week:))
